Welcome to the Stealth Wellness blog! My name is Dr. Bill Beyers, and in this post, I want to share the foundation of what Stealth Wellness is all about and what you can expect from this platform moving forward. Stealth Wellness is a holistic approach to understanding how human, animal, plant, and environmental health are interconnected. My goal is to help people like you connect the dots between these areas through education, research, and practical applications that can be used to improve health on all fronts.
A Lifetime of Learning and Growing
Before we dive into the deeper aspects of what this platform aims to achieve, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up on a farm in the Midwest, and that experience taught me a lot about life, nature, and health. After spending 39 years in the healthcare field, with a specialization in chiropractic care, and over 60 years of life experience, I’ve come to understand that health isn’t just about the human body. It’s about the whole ecosystem.
From the soil we grow our food in, to the plants and animals we care for, everything plays a role in how healthy we are. I’ve made it my mission to continually learn and share this knowledge, whether through my local practice, telemedicine, or now this blog and podcast.
Connecting the Dots: Health from Soil to Planet
One of the core philosophies of Stealth Wellness is that human health cannot be separated from the health of the planet. The soil that we grow our food in has a direct impact on the nutrients we receive, and those nutrients affect how healthy we are. Similarly, the way we treat the environment affects not only the planet’s ability to provide for us but also how our food sustains us.
I’m not here to debate things like global warming or climate change. Instead, I want to focus on what we can do right now to take better care of the land and ecosystems that we rely on. This includes exploring topics like regenerative farming, sustainable agriculture, and alternative health approaches that can be implemented today to make a difference.
For example, one of the experts I plan to feature regularly is Cory St. Clair, an agronomist from Indiana. Cory has been traveling across the U.S. helping farmers implement less chemically-dependent systems for growing food. His work shows that we can farm in a way that’s not only more sustainable but healthier for the people who eat the food.
Expert Insights and Real-World Applications
I have built an extensive network of experts who are actively walking the walk when it comes to improving health through practical, hands-on methods. One of the experts I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing is Dr. Ethan Harbert, a colleague of mine in chiropractic care. Together, we explore the benefits of chiropractic treatments for overall human health and well-being.
Another valuable conversation I had was with Dr. Gerry Kirkbride, a doctor of nursing, where we discussed patient safety in healthcare settings. Dr. Kirkbride’s insights into the importance of having a healthcare advocate are something everyone should hear. Often, when we find ourselves in a medical emergency or needing surgery, we are not in the best position to make decisions. Having someone there to ask the right questions can make a huge difference in the care we receive.
The beauty of these conversations is that they provide actionable steps that you can take today to improve your health and your interaction with the healthcare system.
Learning from the Land: My “Learning Lab Plots”
One of the most exciting parts of my personal journey has been what I call my “Learning Lab Plots.” These are small plots of land on my property where I experiment with different types of crops, including industrial hemp. Hemp is an incredible plant with a wide range of uses, from health supplements like phytocannabinoids to its application in soil remediation.
Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to grow hemp and explore its many benefits, both for human and animal health. I also study how it can be used to improve soil health, which brings us back to that core philosophy of interconnection. Health isn’t just about one part of the equation – it’s about the entire system working together.
Through my Learning Lab Plots, I have been able to see firsthand how regenerative agriculture practices can rebuild soil health and, in turn, provide more nutrient-dense food. This is something I’ll continue to explore and share through Stealth Wellness as I gather more information.
Upcoming Adventures and Learning Opportunities
This September, I’m excited to attend a four-day regenerative health care conference at the Rodale Institute in Pennsylvania. The conference is titled “Rooting Health in Soil,” and I will be learning alongside 75 other healthcare providers who are as passionate about this topic as I am. The Rodale Institute is a leader in regenerative agriculture, and their farm-to-hospital food model is something I’m particularly excited to learn more about.
At the conference, I’ll be hearing from speakers like Will Harris, who has been a leader in regenerative farming for decades. His family’s farm, White Oaks Pasture, is a prime example of how to successfully implement regenerative practices that improve both the land and human health. I’ll also hear from authors like Anne Buckley, co-author of What Your Food Ate: How to Heal Our Land and Reclaim Our Health. The connection between the food we eat and the health of the land it comes from is a topic that often goes overlooked, but it’s critical to understanding how to improve overall well-being.
Building a Community of Lifelong Learners
As I continue to gather knowledge and share it through Stealth Wellness, my hope is that you will join me on this journey. Whether you are a health enthusiast, a farmer, a healthcare provider, or someone just looking for ways to improve your health, there will be something here for you.
I am also working on launching a membership site in 2025, where I will provide deeper insights, premium content, and direct access to the experts I interview. Members will also have access to exclusive recommendations and discounted pricing on supplements and other health products I discuss on the platform.
My ultimate goal is for Stealth Wellness to be a space where we challenge the status quo, explore new ideas, and take actionable steps toward improving health in every area of our lives. Whether you are interested in food as medicine, sustainable agriculture, or learning how to advocate for yourself in a healthcare setting, I hope to provide valuable resources for you.
Conclusion: Keep Learning, Keep Growing
Every time you visit Stealth Wellness, my goal is for you to walk away having learned at least one new thing. Whether it’s a small tip you can apply immediately or a bigger concept that changes how you view health, I want this platform to be a source of inspiration and education.
